Our Mental Health Practice

Live to Thrive, LLC is a professional counseling practice that was established from a passion to help individuals to live their best life. We strive to help strengthen personal, work, and family relationships through self exploration and increased awareness.

Wendy is an experienced Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). She graduated from the University of Akron with a Master's of Education in Marriage of Family Therapy. She has over 22 years’ experience working as a Counselor. She is skilled in individual and family counseling with children, adolescents, and adults. Wendy uses a holistic approach to counseling, helping individuals strive towards wellness. She has training and experience in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma therapy, sandtray therapy, play therapy, motivational interviewing, behavior management, and family therapy. Wendy is a certified Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT) and she has also completed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training through the Beck Institute. In her leisure time, Wendy enjoys exercising, running marathons, coaching Girls on the Run, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.


In addition to seeing clients in Ohio, Wendy is a Certified Telehealth Provider for the State of Florida.

Michele is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision Designation (LPCC-S) with over 24 years of experience working as a therapist in a variety of settings.   She graduated from the University of Akron with a Master's of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is skilled in individual and family counseling with adolescents and adults with a specialty focused on therapy with couples.   Michele centers treatment around overall health and wellness to help clients become their best selves.  She has training and experience in multiple therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Focused Therapy, and Marriage and Family Therapy.    Michele has completed CBT training through the Beck Institute, as both a therapist and supervisor. Additionally, she has 10 years of supervision/management experience and is very passionate about leadership and staff development. Personally, Michele enjoys being outdoors, traveling, cooking, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

She graduated from the University of Akron with a Master of Science in Education in Community Counseling and has over 10 years’ experience, working primarily with adolescents and adults. Erin is skilled in individual and family counseling. She has training and experience in various therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), sandtray therapy, and Solution-focused Therapy, as well as extensive training in the assessment and treatment of depression. Erin’s areas of focus include anxiety, stress, depression, parenting, family and life adjustment issues, and grief, and is able, if a patient desires, to approach these from a Christian perspective. Outside of counseling, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, gardening, reading, and drinking a fair amount of coffee.

Steven is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision Designation (LPCC-S) who has worked in a variety of roles in mental health since 2011. He graduated with his Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University where he also received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Steven utilizes an interactive narrative approach to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to maintain balance in body, mind, and spirit. He can also integrate a Christian faith-based approach to the therapies for people who would like to tie their faith to the therapy process. His hope is to help you identify the unworkable action in your life and have a conversation that can get to the heart of the matter to create positive change and healing. Steven is skilled at assisting individuals and families in many areas of mental wellness with specialized experience working through grief, addiction, adjustment related concerns, anxiety, depression, bipolar, caretaker fatigue, and career confusion. In his off time, Steven enjoys spending time with family, exercise, yardwork, and reading.

I have experience working in a variety of settings including childcare centers, schools, in home, and outpatient to strengthen an individual’s resilience. I am trained in Conscious Discipline, Flip-It, Incredible Years, and Triple P to provide parental support in behavioral management and teach children tools they need to be successful in life. I have additional training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma therapy, play therapy, and motivational interviewing. During my clinical experience, I have worked with anxiety, depression, ADHD, gifted, trauma, grief, family transitions, and self-esteem. Jess has 15 years of experience in the mental health field across a variety of settings and specializes in working with those struggling with complex PTSD/trauma, attachment concerns, grief and loss recovery, anxiety, depression, stress and life adjustment including long term illness/medical complications, dissociation, and spiritual exploration. Jess has mentored under many expressive arts therapists to learn therapeutic art, creative writing, and play techniques and is trained in sand tray therapy. Jess also utilizes a variety of other approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), PolyVagal Theory and other neuro-integrating techniques, TBRI (Trust Based Relational Intervention), basic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing techniques. Jess is also trained in Christian inner healing prayer, discipleship mentoring and volunteers part time at her church in music ministry leadership. Mary has over 30 years Administrative experience and over 10 years Office Managerial and Medical Records experience in a HIPAA regulated professional environment. Her focus is in providing clients with respectful, courteous and timely communications, upholding their privacy and maintaining professional standards while providing non clinical access to therapeutic providers. Mary and her husband of 29 years have 3 daughters and two grand daughters to enjoy spending their non-working hours with, as well as a devoted Chiweenie named Hugo. Her “me” time is spent dabbling in crocheting, sewing, and baking.

Patti’s favorite thing is to travel with her entire family. She looks forward to their yearly vacation getaways. Her family is most important to her, and she loves every minute she gets to spend with them. She also loves to hike in the woods, read, crochet, and spend time with her fur babies.
